If you have an HTCSense 4+ phone, HTC and Playstation Mobile want to give you a free game every week through the end of February. Much like the offer for free games on Sony devices, there are no hoops to jump through, just download the Playstation Mobile for Android app, set up your Sony Entertainment Network account, then use your Sense 4+ phone to download your free games. Supported models include: HTC One V HTCOne S HTCOne X HTCOne XL HTC One EVO 4G LTE HTC One X+ There is one sticking point — your phone must be running Android 4.1 and Sense 4+ or higher, which leaves folks on AT&T and T-Mobile out in the cold unless they've rooted and ROM'd. Feel free to express your distaste in the comments.

The PlayStation Certified train continues to roll on, but it seems that HTC is the only other company interested in a ride. Aside from a number of Sony devices, only HTC handsets have been PlayStation Certified, and today nothing is changing – we’re only getting word of three additional HTC devices that have been given …

The PlayStation Mobile Store went live on Android just over two months ago to a somewhat muted response. Of course Sony’s mobile gaming store is only available to devices that are “PlayStation Certified.” Originally this only included a few high-end Sony smart phones.  But since then Sony has announced partnerships with several other OEMs to licence its “PlayStation Certified” stamp. With

A Chinese industry supply chain claims that HTC is looking to reduce the prices on its upcoming lineup of Android and Windows Phone 8 powered devices. Most recently, HTC has struggled to keep up with Samsung and Apple losing market share each and every day. It’s no secret that 2012 hasn’t been kind to HTC. Despite releasing strong products as part of its HTC One line earlier in the year, the improvement in the HTC’s smartphones hasn’t been reflected in the company’s financial results. The Taiwanese manufacturer recently reported 45 percent year-on-year fall in revenues for July, and the second quarter picture was similarly grim. As such, CEO Peter Chou recently emailed employees, HTC Chairwoman Cher Wang and the company’s board of directors calling for a change in HTC’s inner workings

Owners of the HTC One V may well soon receive a notification to update their devices software. The update to version 2.08.401.2 weighs in at 46.77MB, and brings with it in particular one rather tasty new feature. Support is included within for the HTCMedia Link HD, HTC's wireless media streaming device. Not too shabby, and an excellent feature for the entry-level, yet handsome and feature packed One V. The usual caveats apply, in that if you bought a carrier unlocked version, you're most likely going to see this one first.

U.S.Cellular customers can today pick up the HTC One V online and the device will be in-store starting Friday. While the Android handset may be a little overshadowed by its big brothers the One X and One S, the One V, as you'll recall from our review, does pack a pretty good punch for its price, which is $129.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate . Running Android 4.0 out of the box and complemented with the latest addition of Sense UI the One V is great looking and feels wonderful in the hand. It has the familiar 'chin' that we saw on the HTC Hero and Legend and whilst its 1GHz processor may not be as powerful as the One X and One S it certainly does a good job of making things run smoothly. You can order the HTC One V online here and we have the full press release below for your viewing pleasure
