The iTunes library on your Mac can get a bit unwieldy at times, right? It can become disorganized, with duplicate tracks, multiple spellings for one artist, and a bunch of other oddities that can keep it from being in the best shape possible. There’s nothing worse than having to go through a messy iTunes library – and that’s where this iPhone Hacks Deals offer comes in.

The iPhone is quickly becoming (or already has) the hottest digital camera on the planet. Not only does it have terrific imaging power, but with its screen is able to easily compose attractive shots. Knowing the power of the iPhone and other iDevices, Apple continually tweaks its photo-imaging capabilities. The latest evidence being a new

Rumors that Apple was going to incorporate a fingerprint sensor in the home button of the next iPhone still have no evidence to support them behind Apple’s acquisition of Authentec in 2012. A new rumor has thus appeared, saying that Apple plans to do away with the physical push-style home button entirely in the next iPhone release, replacing it with a capacitive touch area that would perform the same functions. The new “button” will be covered in sapphire glass to prevent scratches.

According to the chief financial officer of Windows — what, your company doesn’t have a product-level CFO? — Microsoft has laid out the welcome mat for iTunes for Windows 8, but Apple has yet to come a knocking. Why ever could that be? I was asked recently on Twitter why the Mac App Store wasn’t bundled into the desktop iTunes app the way the iOS App Store is, and so many other things are. I don’t know the official rationale, but my immediate instinct was — because it’s the Mac App Store, and that means it doesn’t have to be ported to Windows

Android is gaining ground largely by offering a cheaper alternative to Apple’s higher-priced iPhone and iPad. Case in point: Acer’s just announced $169 Iconia A1 Jelly Bean tablet. Now, for some time there’s been a drumbeat for Apple to respond with a cheap smartphone of its own, one sold unsubsidized and off-contract to cash-strapped buyers in

A strange bug in Apple’s iMessage service is manifesting itself. Messages of a certain length are rendering the final word of the text invisible (but still present) following sending the message to both sender and recipient. Two phrases induce the bug for some users — “I could be the next Obama” followed by a space causes the display oddity.

Today in the MacNN forums, Grizzled Veteran “PeterParker” was wondering if it would be a good idea to build their own USB charging station that could be used to charge Apple devices among other things. Mac Elite “CIA” started a thread earlier this week trying to find out if the maxed out Mac Pro setup that they are using will fry the PSU.

The tenth anniversary of the iTunes Store is looming on April 28th, and Apple wants to do more for the occasion than treat itself to a nice dinner. It just launched an interactive Decade of iTunes timeline (within iTunes itself, naturally) to remind us how far its music service has come since 2003. While the retrospective includes the expected sales milestones, media links and plugs for iPods, it’s surprisingly detailed: you, too, can learn that Morcheeba rocked the album charts when iTunes reached Scandinavia. Apple has fiercer competition these days that not surprisingly goes unacknowledged, but it’s good to have at least some context for Cupertino’s more recent achievements

Apple has agreed to pay out $53M in regards to a settlement agreement concerning iPhone warranties. The basis was that Apple turned away customers under their one year and extended two year warranties for iPhone defects. Apple’s old liquid damage policy stated that if one of the sensors were turned pink or red, Apple had the right to void warranty claims for any reason. Since, the policy has been changed.

The Vancouver Apple was robbed on Monday evening by three men armed with bear spray. Bear spray, also known as pepper spray is used to fend off bear attacks and is equally effective against humans. The men stormed into the open store and hit around 40 people with the spray causing mayhem and confusion. The men made off with iPods, iPads and laptops from the display areas

Per a rumor out of China, Apple won’t release a new iPhone at its upcoming summer developer conference. Instead, Tim Cook & Co. are thought to be targeting an August 2013 launch for both the iPhone 5S, a specs upgrade, and an inexpensive iPhone model, aimed at emerging markets that sell mostly unsubsidized handsets.

Looking for a refurbished MacBook Air with at least 4GB of RAM? RefurbMe makes it easy to find and track them. (Credit: Screenshot by Rick Broida/CNET) The words “deal” and “Apple product” rarely appear in the same sentence, which is why I continue to be fan of buying refurbished Apple gear whenever possible. While some refurbs prove to be junk, Apple gives you like-new hardware — complete with a same-as-new warranty. It’s the only way to go
